# Report Templates & Formatting

Report templates and formatting is used to create a default template that can be appended to the AI-generated reports. 

The following are the steps to create a default template.

1. Click **Report Templates and Formatting** from the settings options.
2. On the dialog box, click **New Template** to create a new default template.

3. On the **Report templates & formatting** dialog box, type a name and select a modality from the drop-down list for the template.

4. Type the report template or copy/paste the template from an existing file to the editor.\
   For example:&#x20;

5. Click **Preview and save** to preview the template and click **Save**. \
   For example:

6. The report template is added to the list. \
   For example:&#x20;

7. Select the template to edit.
8. Select **Delete** to delete the template from the list.
